Maekayla brings a wealth of experience as an optometrist, having worked in diverse settings ranging from rural communities to the city. Her career spans a variety of roles, including providing eyecare across NSW optometry practices, rural hospitals, correctional facilities, nursing homes, schools; all with a focus on ensuring that eye care services are accessible to all individuals.

For Maekayla, there is no greater joy than serving her community and ensuring that every patient who sits in her chair leaves with a better understanding of their eye health.
​
During her years in Dubbo, NSW, Maekayla gained invaluable insight into the critical need for accessible eye care. She has also collaborated closely with the Brien Holden Foundation and frequently joins the Royal Flying Doctor Service & Little Wings to deliver eye care to remote areas, where access to healthcare can be limited. When away from the office, Maekayla has a big soft spot for food & adventure, and loves trying all different cultural foods as she believes food defies all barriers.

Mary is a caring optometrist who always strives to provide excellent eye care to the community. Having grown up in Western Sydney, Mary has found conducting comprehensive eye tests for these patients to be a truly rewarding experience, ensuring that every patient receives the best care possible.

Her interests are sparked by understanding the positive impact that quality vision on daily life. She also has a passion for ensuring children’s vision is cared for through myopia control.
​
As an avid foodie, she spends her days off exploring new food spots and catching up with friends.
